Jake Wilmoth

Lead Pastor

About our Pastor:

"My wife and I moved to New Zealand with a heart to serve the Lord and help establish Calvary Chapel Bible Institute. For around 11 years, we had the privilege of serving with the Calvary Chapel Bible Institute (CCBI), investing in students and helping equip the next generation for ministry.
After those years of serving with the CCBI, we felt God leading us into church ministry. We came alongside Steve Jones and began serving at Calvary Chapel Hamilton, learning, serving, and working together as we looked toward the future of the church.
In January 2025, we completed the transition from Steve to me as Lead Pastor of Calvary Chapel Hamilton. It has been a privilege to step into this role, and we are excited about what God has ahead for our church family.
Our heart is to see Calvary Chapel Hamilton be a healthy, homely, and sending church - a place where people can belong, grow in their relationship with Jesus, be cared for, and be equipped to take the gospel into our community and beyond.
Family is a big part of our lives, and we are blessed with two children, Jade and Jeremiah. We love doing life together as a family and consider it a privilege to serve the Lord and His church here in Hamilton."

We’re a team of people who love Jesus, love people, and love being part of our church family.

We want to help create a church that is healthy, homely and sending, a place where people can belong, grow in their faith, and be encouraged to live like Christ.
